Some shows I haven’t seen since I was a kid, but I remember being high quality, and haven’t seen mentioned yet:
- The Animals of Farthing Wood
- Noahs Island
- Watership down (1999, not the adult 1972 movie!)

My unsolicited review:
It was okay, but not great. The lighting and camera work was unimaginative, the acting was always a little off (especially Malcolm). This contributed to a general “fakeness” that was probably the worst part of the show.
Too much fan service, but understandable if this was a one-off thing.
The story was good. The tone was more serious, which wasn’t a problem, I think it’s great they don’t just try to remake the original, but the jokes that are there often fell flat. In general I didn’t laugh much.
The original characters were all enjoyable, except I felt Jamie (which technically isn’t a original character) was a little underdeveloped. In general I thought the cast was too large for the runtime, but if they do produce a full series (about Malcolm running for office?) this could be resolved.
Overall a nice little addendum for the fans, but nothing too exciting. I do think there is some meat for a sequel show here.
It’s the Han man’s burden to teach these savages slavery is wrong.
Shitlib? The OP is using liberal logic “the individual chooses to be a fascist” The person responding is using a Marxist understanding: These misogynists did not wake up one day and decided to hate women, they became that way growing up in a misogynist society, they were formed by their material conditions.
It is our job, of leftists to engage with the dialectic and push them to our side by being able to offer young boys an alternative.
This is my understanding at least.
Old man yaoi.
I could be wrong but I think I figured it out:
Hitler was defeated during his first 100 days.

In Belgium they also pulled votes from the far right, though.

Tim Burton had very little to do with Nightmare before Christmas.
He is trying to balance the budget by implementing austerity and cutting taxes for the rich, ultimately costing the country more money. Neoliberal moment.

12, it’s 1922.

Good news. The Jak and Daxter series is being decompiled and ported by fans. Currently the first two games are playable on PC, they are currently working on Jak 3 and will also port Jak X.
