I’d downvote this comment because it’s not a guilty pleasure at all, but I’ll upvote it instead because Link’s Awakening is a beautiful game, and I had it as a kid too :)

My hypothesis is that the first Final Fantasy you play will forever be your favorite
One thing I love about the Nintendo Switch, you can suspend any game at any time (except online multiplayer ofc) with a single button press

They contain cholesterol but there’s practically no link between dietary cholesterol and blood cholesterol

What an absolute cunt
Beetlemoses is so fucking hilarious, I’m loling every time

An angel does not make love, an angel is love

If you like some (melodic) death metal, give Orbit Culture a listen.
Some of my favs:
… I should probably stop here, but basically all of their songs resonate with me in some way or another. Hardly a day goes by where I don’t put on at least one of their albums
The Fast and the Fabulous

This principle is sometimes called “Chesterton’s Fence” (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Chesterton’s_fence)

The OG is https://theoffice.fandom.com/wiki/Hidetoshi_Hasagawa, but the reference in Cyberpunk 2077 you’re talking about really cracked me up

In Japan, heart surgeon. Number one. Steady hand. One day, yakuza boss need new heart. I do operation. But, mistake! Yakuza boss die. Yakuza very mad. I hide in fishing boat, come to America. No English, no food, no money. Darryl give me job. Now I have house, American car, and new woman. Darryl save life. My big secret: I kill yakuza boss on purpose. I good surgeon. The best!

I think people tend to overly generalize to “managers” when they really mean the middle 3-4 of 6-9 layers of management or something.
E.g. the reporting chain from our company’s CEO all the way down to me (an “individual contributor”) has 7 people between us. The most change, and with the least noticeable effect on the work I actually do, happens around layers 4 to 6 above me

Very similar to mine except I had Link’s Awakening (instead of LttP) and FF7
I really miss Ragnarok Online. Some friends and I played on iRO while that was free for a bit and then later on euRO. The monthly fee was a significant fraction of my pocket money as a highschool kid but totally worth it

An envelope with cash!

It’s a beautiful game. One of the best I’ve played. I just love the atmosphere, art style and music
It’s more focused on combat than platforming (tip: you can bounce off some spikes with a well timed downward aerial attack) and the typical metroidvania exploration and backtracking. Except there’s a brutal optional platforming section that I haven’t had the courage to face yet 😅
The bosses are tough, but not unfair. Some of the optional ones and the (true) final battle can be a bit frustrating but that makes finally succeeding just all the more satisfying.
Given that it it’s a couple of years old now it’s cheap to buy even when not on sale, so do yourself the favor and give it a try!
