Yes, we were protesting the forced feeding of ducks for foie gras. Foie gras is so cruel it’s banned in over 15 different countries. The birds livers swell up to 10x their natural size making it hard for them to breathe. Many die from lesions on their esophagus from having tubes jammed down their throats over and over again.

It’s hypocritical to be pro-choice, but then force cows to have arms shoved up their anus to be artificially inseminated for dairy products by buying their secretions. There are 80 billion land animals killed for trivial, unnecessary reasons every year. Stop breastfeeding off of another species in adulthood and paying for chicks to be thrown in blenders. That’s fucking weird.

I saw this German documentary about the egg industry.

They ship the males out of country where they are raised in sheds, then sold to Africa.

I think the best solution is to not buy eggs. A good replacement is mung bean flour. It has similar nutrition and flavor, can be obtained cheaply, and spares chickens from being exploited by humans.

Ideally, these male chicks could be taken to an animal sanctuaries. With the scale of the industry and the rarity of farmed animal sanctuaries, it wouldn’t be possible for all of them. For the ones that can be rescued, life on a sanctuary is much better than in the wild or on a farm in a dark shed.

It’s very sad. Because pieces of sh*t want to wear fur, they are tortured like that. Plus there is synthetic fur that looks exactly like the stolen skins of trapped animals. But no, ultra rich scum want to torture animals for a status symbol. I wish all foxes could be freed from their cages.

Farmed animals are slaves to humans

Black people were once considered animals by slave owners and were given no rights. People who sold slaves were just following the laws of supply and demand too. The market isn’t a great arbiter of morality, there’s plenty of horrible things people will pay for, including the diseased livers of tortured ducks and geese. Doesn’t make the product ethical just because someone will pay for it.

Any argument for plant sentience is an argument for veganism since according to the USDA, animals consume over 70% of soy and 40% of corn in the US (humans only consume 10% of corn directly). Corn and soy are the two largest crops. Not only does buying animal products kill the animal for that product, but amplifies crop deaths from all the crops they are fed and are inefficiently converted to flesh. You can be vegan and not eat mushrooms. 95% of plant biologists are in agreement plants are not sentient. If they were, still makes sense to be vegan.

If a person isn’t vegan, it’s not what they eat, but who. Some people don’t give a fuck about other people being racist, not caring about shit is the norm.
