Killing off female characters for the sake of easy drama is especially prevalent in superhero comics, extending way before this specific issue (see Gwen Stacy to start). But this incident is what prompted fantastic writer Gail Simone to coin the phenomenon’s comic-related incarnation.

Giants: Citizen Kabuto.

It’s got a hilarious and fun single player campaign where you get to play as all three factions. Obviously, playing as the giant monster and elbow-dropping buildings is the most fun, but the rest are highly enjoyable as well. Vintage Shiny at its best. Available on Steam, I just recently found out.

Dune: Adventures in the Imperium does a version of this. Extra successes on a challenge give the players Momentum points which they can use to generally make things better for them. But the GM has Threat points which make things harder for the players. Points can also be used to buy off bad outcomes or improve good ones.

But the most fun bit is that the GM can cash in a bunch of Threat to introduce a rival to the players into a scene. So their nemesis can drop in on the party where they’re trying to gather allies to confront the nemesis.

I played with Ubuntu before it hit version 10, but recently since gaming has gotten so good lately I’ve switched to Bazzite and had a fantastic experience. Better than Windows in some cases.

The only problem is that Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous crashes a bit too much for me right now. But other than that, great stuff.

I have an Anbernic RG35XX H and I really love it. Great controls, runs even Dreamcast games pretty well, portable and good battery life. I wish the screen was a little bigger, but for $50-60 it’s a great value.

I’ll second Bazzite. I tried Pop!OS and had a handful of problems with it, but they all evaporated when I switched to Bazzite.

After switching from win10 to Bazzite, honestly the Linux experience is better for gaming. Incredibly smooth.
