1·2 年前i just remembered this project: https://floorp.app/en/

2·2 年前tell me about it! literally the ONE thing keeping me from FF at the moment. vertical tabs are too vital to my workflow at this point to sacrifice.

1·2 年前interesting! looks pretty cool, i’ll give it a shot later. thanks! something just feels morally wrong to me about actively using a chromium based browser, it’s always in the back of my mind lmao. we are all part of the problem.

1·2 年前the vertical tabs <3
now i use Arc though which has been amazing. i don’t think i can ever go back to horizontal tabs. i love Firefox so much, its just missing a good implementation of this one feature that i can’t live without! there are some extensions but it’s not even close to the native implementation of it on edge and arc browser especially

1·2 年前I don’t know much but I don’t think Australia works that way? Do they have “states” or some equivalent? Curiously asking.
I remember that! Pretty sure I tried it out on my Nexus 5. It was cool but even then it seemed an impossible hill to climb. Looks like it was forked into a feature phone OS that’s maintained to this day!

Android@lemmy.world•Your next OnePlus phone could have a whopping 24GB of RAMEnglish
1·2 年前I can maybe see it for running an incredibly skimmed down open source LLM, but even then RAM isn’t the biggest limitation. That’s just such a bizarrely niche use case. Almost nobody needs 24GB of RAM in their phone right now. Emulation is a niche case I can see being a little more reasonable. Still insane.

17·2 年前I use Ventura and have been since release and haven’t had a single problem. You can just disable Gatekeeper.

yup vertical tabs are the dealbreaker for me, edge got me hooked. Floorp is a fork that has it, haven’t used it a ton yet but i keep hearing more about it. I’ve been using Arc which i’m enjoying.
