  • Obligatory US troop copypasta

You see american choppers in the bright blue sky, hundreds and hundreds of screaming american soldiers drop from it, you look across the field and see the tanks rolling in. You hear a loud explosion and realise that the shrine you have protected for thousands of years with tooth and nail is destroyed by the empire, you come to the realisation that this is very probably the end of your people who’ve struggled to survive all these centuries. You realise that very soon there is going to be a river of blood of your people here; white phosphorus and depleted uranium will be shot very soon, deforming babies for decades to come, and millions of your people are gonna be killed. Your millennia old language and religion will be wiped out, you’re very likely the last of your kind.

Suddenly, an American soldier kicks you down, puts his foot on your neck and aims his standard ar-15 on the side of your head all while screaming; you realise you’re gonna die, and you won’t have to see the destruction of your community that you fostered so carefully all these centuries for.

Just before he pulls the trigger, you think to yourself, “To be fair to him, he probably had a low GPA in highschool and didnt have a health-care, those are notoriously hard to get in America”.

I’m actually very sympathetic to this. What the US did, and continues to do, is far worse than what the fascists of the 1920s-40s attempted.

The Nazis and Japanese fascists tried (and failed) to acheive what the US sucessfully did: the colonization and eviction of hundreds of native peoples, and clearing of an entire region for the “master race”. All under a far more stable form of government for colonialism : bourgeois democracy.

Lebensraum failed, but manifest destiny succeeded.

Not only that, but committed countless other atrocities, unparalleled in history.

  • Very few modern states are settler states based on native eviction: only the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Israel.

The major colonialist powers of the last few hundred years were a tiny number of european nations.

But unlike a dictatorship, the democracies improved

The US and other capitalist states based on representative democracy aren’t democracies, and you’d be hard-pressed to find ppl saying they’re improving.

  • Bourgeios “democracy” isn’t actually a people’s democracy, even though its sold as one. Its really an oligarchy/aristocracy/capitalist dictatorship.

We shouldn’t allow capitalists to define democracy as bourgeios parliamentarism, especially when that form of government works against the interests of the vast majority of people.

how not voting is going against or dismantling the system.

Its refusing to play their rigged game, and spending your energies elsewhere.

Every single positive change from the US came not through voting or participation in the electoral process, but from force or the threat of force from below, usually in the form of mass protests, or enemies of the US empire defeating them militarily.

Political philosophers in the year 300 BC:

“Hey, so electoralism is a rigged game, because only wealthy and prestigious families have enough money to finance the popularity contest to get themselves or their puppet candidates elected.”

Marxists in the 1800s, with the rise of representative governments:

“Hey, this system is proving to be the safest shell for capitalist rule, because wealthy capitalists are able to stack every election to get their puppets elected, and people have the illusion that they live in democracies”

    Goldfish-brained liberals in the 2020s:

“Electoralism is gonna work this time, we just didn’t vote hard enough before!”
