Yup, this is exactly it. Hospitals are actually very efficient for what they offer and the costs keep rising and the funding does not increase to match those rising costs.

I blame napster/kazaa/limewire for this
I dont believe your results are what would happen but neither of us have data to back it since its conjecture.
Here’s what I do know, US has more guns than anyone and also has the biggest issue with gun violence. Normally I dont imply correlation is always causation, but I havent seen any other reason that is unique to the US for the increased gun violence other than the uniquely high number of guns and the clear fetishization of guns.
This is as someone looking in, so I dont pretend to have all the answers, it just seems weird to say “there are lots of pool drownings each year, so let’s put more pools in everyone’s houses so they can learn preventative swimming” that’s what adding more guns sounds like to me.
Aren’t a ton of school shooters by a teenager who took his dad’s gun? How would he do that if dad doesn’t have a gun
Id imagine it would reduce school shooters at least

I used to buy a ton of games. Its now hard to justify with the price of everything going up so dramatically. I still buy more than average, but probably more along the lines of one every few months and never full price releases.
In practical terms, again for most people, these are non issues. Why do i care about the range being lower in winter when the battery is charged at home and i dont drive more than 400km in a day?
There are fewer moving parts in an EV than there are in icev
And those gadgets are in almost all modern cars, ev or not.
Ev is superior to ice in most ways.
While it doesn’t fit everyone’s life, it will fit most people’s and in a way that is a genuine improvement.
Not having to stop for gas is the biggest benefit I did not expect to have.
The only real downside was the need to charge on road trips, but my car charges in 18 minutes so it really isnt a problem anymore. My stops are usually longer than 18 minutes anyways.
