He lost me at you didn’t cache everything. Every fortune100 company I have worked at does indeed scan and cache everything it has approved for use

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•My credit union no longer allows me to payoff pending purchases made on my credit cardEnglish
4·3 months agoNot going to teach people how to launder money, but one of the avenues that can be used to get a respectable transaction is to overpay from a dirty bank account to a credit card, and then the financial institution will credit into the users clean bank account which will raise less flags then a direct transfer. This is just one step in a process, and not even sure it works anymore. But many banks would rather just not deal with it.

Wait do they not have these anymore? I don’t think I’ve been to a pizza hut in 30 years. Pizza was meh, but solid salad bar back in the day

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•I have a very strange question about washers, dryers and the Middle East.
4·1 year agoBeen living in the US for almost exactly 40 years, never had a dryer on the right. Mostly Chicago and Detroit. I don’t think I would like the opposite. Is this really a norm I wasn’t aware of and somehow never encountered
Best advice I ever received posture wise was to pretend my nipples were Lazer guns and try to shoot people in the face. I like to say pewpew in my head

News@lemmy.world•California could ban Clear, which lets travelers pay to skip TSA lines
2·2 years agoNot defending the company per se. I assume they are just as scummy as the next, but I don’t see why everyone would sign up. There’s next to no value there if you don’t travel alot

News@lemmy.world•California could ban Clear, which lets travelers pay to skip TSA lines
5·2 years agoDislike this. I never saw it as a wealthy skip the line. It’s not that expensive . And they are on their private jets already. It’s great for those of us that travel enough for work that it justifies the cost. When you fly more than once a week it’s nice to be able to pay to not have to wait for those that do it twice a year(and are not as efficient due to lack of practice)
