I came into the comments to say this. I keep one in my drawer, trimmed down a bit so it can go all the way around inside a usb-c port. They’re perfect since they’re very narrow and since they are soft you won’t damage the port.

I use a disposable dental floss pick. The toothpick side is very narrow and no concern scratching too hard down in a port since it is plastic.

It took like an hour for an image of the Ultra 64 (N64) controller to load on my screen from the reveal in Japan. I remember waiting as each line of the image would slowly appear on a grey scale laptop screen over dial up. My eleven year old mind was blown, worth it.

Most digital bathroom scales will repeat your last measurement if it hasn’t changed by more than half a pound. I pick up a 1 lb soap bottle off the counter first, then measure again without it for my weigh in.

Customers really hate seeing if a scale has a little inaccuracy in back to back measurements, so they all build in this bullshitting.
