30·3 months agoAnd thus the reason we don’t have flying cars. That was two. Imagine the flaming hell that would be raining down if we had commute traffic numbers in the sky.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•People who watched the show "The Big Bang Theory", what is your opinion on it?English
20·3 months agoI watched it for a time because other friends and coworkers did and it gave us something to talk about. But, generally speaking, I found the characters to be kinda awful people and while on the surface seemed like my friends and myself, they were at best poor approximations. The show was very clearly making fun of them most of the time, filled with horrible laugh tracks that prompt the viewer… I eventually just couldn’t stand it anymore and left. Honestly, I had forgotten about this show.
Around that same era there was a show called Community that was full of weird people and great storrytelling and was damn near the opposite of the Big Bang. Community is a show I still rewatch from time to time.

8·5 months agoWell done! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! And it’s fun to use and has an aesthetic that reminds me of browsing ftp servers back in the day. And these themes?! I love the whimsy mixed with actual usability.
And its a damn good file server so far: fast, easy to use, makes reasonable security choices, and accessible in the ways I want (rclone mount)

I’m here for your content hole. Thank you.
I see Mr. Musk has started using intracerebrally.
You are a magnificent serial contenter.
Jesus Christ that is… some excellent content.
Personally, I’m a fan of Qt. But I’ve also done some Dear Imgui stuff and liked it. https://www.dearimgui.com/ I also liked JUCE, but that was for an audio plugin (JUCE has a full UI kit)
This content looks forbidden and mysterious. Does one need a handshake to enter the funhole?
This content measures up. Thank you.

That’s so weird, I was just having that conversation with my SO. We’re convinced water is his nemesis. He’s like the aliens in Signs.
