7·2 years agoI’m going to get one at the ~$300 level. Their discord channel is pretty active. David and some of the collaborators show up there pretty often. https://discord.gg/nS2PqEC

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What did the super-mods, that modded the top 50+ default subs, do during the r/pocalypse?English
2·2 years agoAhh. That explains a lot. Thanks.

Linux@discuss.tchncs.de•Ubuntu's NVIDIA "Enterprise Ready" Driver Package Now Enables Open GPU Kernel Driver
2·2 years agoIt definitely is. If Intel continues to make progress, hopefully it will bring down prices for consumers across all brands. And Intel seems serious about open source drivers, they aren’t quite there on Windows yet, but maybe soon.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What did the super-mods, that modded the top 50+ default subs, do during the r/pocalypse?English
4·2 years agoMaybe another stupid question, but how does someone mod 50+ communities? I imagine a low-traffic sub would be easy, but a high-traffic one is bound to attract lots of a–holes who need comments deleted/banning/reporting, etc.
Is this a 24 hr/day gig? Do these mods have day jobs?
I guess my main questions are how do they do it, and why do they do it.

AMD@lemmy.ml•AMD Ryzen 5 7500F to launch this week, the first AM5 CPU without integrated RDNA2 graphics - VideoCardz.com
2·2 years agoYeah, I want to see a lot of things from AMD, but I guess they’re focused on data center right now.

Linux@discuss.tchncs.de•Ubuntu's NVIDIA "Enterprise Ready" Driver Package Now Enables Open GPU Kernel Driver
1·2 years agoOuch. AMD’s open source support for enterprise was one of the only (maybe the only) advantages they had in data center. I love AMD, but I wish they’d step up their software game.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Good dumb TV for my living room media center?English
6·2 years agoI’ve been looking for a TV for awhile now, and I’ve found that there aren’t really any practical dumb ones. There are a few models, but they’re more expensive and have lower specs, cheaper panels, fewer menu options, etc.
Overall, the smart TVs are going to be cheaper/better because the company plans to make money on target ads, data mining, etc. Just don’t connect it or enter a wi-fi password. Sadly that’s where we’re at now.

8·2 years agoWell, if you’re on desktop and you don’t mind installing scripts on your browser, there’s a Tampermonkey/Greasemonkey script. https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/141704

Stable Diffusion@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Can AI models be used to generate floor plans for say a 2BHK or 3BHK house given I provide the area in sq ft. and my house preferences ? If yes, is there any model capable of it right now ?English
1·2 years agoWell, to be fair, Mike Brady was a hot-shot architect and he had 6 kids sharing one bathroom. Maybe OP would be better off with stable diffusion.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•So... are Lemmy users also generally crypto supporters?
4·2 years agoI think in the early days it was because most here were left-leaning or libertarians, but now that the general public is starting to move in, it’s more neutral/slightly negative.
OMG, same here. I got tired of buying a new inkjet every 2 years or so. I bought a Brother laser all-in-one 4 yrs ago and haven’t looked back. My only regret was not spending the extra bucks to get a color model.
Ahh, I get that reference. I fell asleep when I tried to watch the actual movie. Thanks.
I don’t get it, but I’m upvoting.

I was able to do it by right clicking the desktop > Configure Desktop and Wallpaper > Mouse Actions > Add Action and continue from there. This only works when you scroll on the actual desktop background, not over any windows/menus.
