I was excited about this project years ago but I am very skeptical of this ever going anywhere after they seemingly made no progress for years doing endless engine reworks before now seemingly giving up on those reworks and returning to their legacy engine?

This is standard corpo/PR speak when addressing an issue, you refer to it as an “opportunity”, there’s an implied “to solve/address”.
It’s also no different than a RuneScape membership in the 2000s, or hell, Roblox Builder Club almost 20 years ago.
Both of those brought me an immense amount of joy and connection to others that I would never otherwise had gotten to experience living in an isolating rural area.
And the ad did exactly what it was intended to do. Getting everyone to talk about it. Any attention, is good attention, when their advertising is literally there to remind you that they exist.
The flag was obviously altered which is being intentionally left out or buried in the majority of posts.
To say they “proudly” displayed when it’s still unknown who actually put it there or manipulated the flag in an open cubicle of a staffer is just weird.
