This is Windows 10. I’ve tried Ubuntu and Arch on the same computer, and they were both faster.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•I'd rather have a "Would you like to hide all Sports related Content?" button than a "Would you like to hide all NSFW content?" button

4·2 years agoI’m in the same spot. Ended up just buying a cheap SSD and dual booting with windows 10. It’s definitely not as convenient as it could be, but it works perfectly.

ErgoMechKeyboards@lemmy.world•cheapest, dirtiest split kb possible?
2·2 years agoI might just end up doing this, lol. I’ve switched to Ortho before, so it’ll just be the split I’m getting used to. Thanks!

3DPrinting@lemmy.world•What is causing this pattern in the first layer?English
5·2 years agoProbably too close to the bed. The gap between your nozzle and your printing surface isn’t big enough, so some of the filament isn’t able to escape and builds up in blobs. Check if the patters’s any worse/more noticeable towards the middle.

Jerboa@lemmy.ml•Oh no. [#Jerboa](https://mastodon.social/tags/Jerboa) is crashing on launch after the update :(
2·2 years agoI’ve had trouble logging in on liftoff, it doesn’t recognize any of the instances I have accounts on.

I’m fine with this, honestly. I’d prefer more devs do this instead of pushing back releases at the last minute or forcing their teams to crunch.
