It’s not too apple-forward! Certainly using the bonded version of applejack helps by dialing up the alcohol level.
So good you were floored?
Thanks so much!

Cocktails, the libationary art!@lemmy.world•Tequila Espresso Martini
1·3 months agoHis wedding is in March, so no batch details yet! But I know his plan for batching is to use cold brew concentrate instead of espresso. If you’re not familiar with concentrate I’m not sure if you can buy it, but when I make cold brew at home it ends up needing 3 parts water for every part of cold brew.
I tried this tonight and thought it was fun and really different. Thanks!
Gorgeous look on this one!

Hey, my partner made that! So sweet to see it here 🤙
I fully agree!
Getting ‘em started right, eh?

artporn@piefed.social•An example of glitch art by Rosa Menkman (c. 2011)
2·5 months agoI find glitch art both beautiful and super fascinating. I have a piece from an artist named Phillip Stearns where he manually corrupted a digital camera by connecting parts of it that weren’t supposed to be connected, taking photos, then having one stitched in fabric on a computer-controlled loom. It’s such an interesting combination of harsh artifacts and soft fabric. Thanks for posting this artist; I hadn’t heard of her!

3·5 months agoUsually Empress drinks look a little goofy to me in how saturated in color they end up, but this is very delicate and tasteful. Well done!
Interesting; thanks for doing the research there!
I’ve had a similar drink called the Fairy Godmother, by Amy Traynor, and really liked it! I’m sure I’d like this one as well.
Agreed; I’ve been using that mezcal exclusively since I first ran into it last year. So good!
I’ve tried that drink; I love it!

This has been on my list forever! Aquavit is common by me and so is always writing down recipes that use it.

That’s a great looking drink. Nice work, looking forward to trying it!
