Reminded me of the Minecraft - Mein Kampf fake video. (sorry it’s youtube) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=s6-XeyNMCJw
Somewhere along the way, you get addicted to the pain, and build a career out of it. The tears won’t stop btw.

Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•Arch-Based Distros Dominate the Linux Gaming SceneEnglish
6·1 year agoAnother one here.
While I didn’t have problem with mouse scroll not working, I did run games that had only audio and a black screen when window is unfocued. Try running the game in the same resolution as the desktop one at first, if that doesn’t work, other solution would be to use the windowed fullscreen or even windowed mode in game.
I use WM so this might not apply to the DE, but give it a shot.

Linux Crack Tips@lemmy.world•hello, how can i download fifa 23cracked on arch linuxEnglish
2·1 year agoI’m currently using lutris with wine-ge-8-26. I’m not aware of any dependencies as I’ve set everything about a year ago, I usually just update the wine version (via protonup) and reuse the prefix for other games unless they require some workarounds. I also limit FG installer to 2gb ram, It’s slower, but I had problems without it before even on windows machines.

Metal@lemmy.world•If the Olympics were held in your country, which metal band would you like to play in the opening ceremony?English
3·1 year agoNot my country, but We Butter the Bread with Butter. :)
My recommendation is to just try bunch of them and see which one fits your needs or you like using the most.
Try both manual tiling and auto tiling for both X11 and Wayland, one will eventually stick.
I started with AwesomeWM, then tried bunch of other ones , and to my surprise, I found myself using DWM (flexipatch) the most. I’m planning to transition to Hyprland soon.
Just use what you like and don’t pay much attention about the reviews.

Neovim@programming.dev•Using and setting up Neovim in Windows 11 (not WSL)
3·1 year agoYup, zig was the way to go when I did it too.
If you’re already using keepassxc, you can import OTP codes and use that. That’s what I do when my phone is not around to use aegis. It’s not as pretty, but it works.
C#. And yes, it’s a powerful potato.
System.StackOverflowException: ‘Exception of type ‘System.StackOverflowException’ was thrown.’
And you sleep through all of them, because you went to sleep around 5:00, but gotta work at 7.

Yes for languages that use the same paradigm and have GC. How about Haskell? Or something with manual memory management like C or C++?
