Low-Spec Gaming@lemmy.zip•What systems specs do you currently have?English
1·15 days agoMajority of my devices are at least Ryzen 2xxx, that includes desktops and laptops. Ever since the release of Vega, I was blown away at their APU graphics. It definitely surpasses iGPU.
I know dGPU could be better, but I preferred the (resale value) of Ryzen devices.
However, I still use Intel 4th ~ 6th Gen laptops that I pick up for free, or had from 10+ years ago. Great for indie gaming still.
I generally hold onto devices because they work perfectly fine with a SSD. Even though they’re not “blazing fast” or cutting edge.
Everything runs on NixOS.

PeerTube@lemmy.wtf•Folks that DJ on the fediverse: What are your thoughts and recommendations so far?
1·1 month agoSo, you’d create a PeerTube channel, but probably minimal visuals, yeah?
I just subscribed.
Seems to be other Fedi-verse spaces on Philippines as well, so I guess subscribing to them all would keep me in the loop.

I sense those sentiments as well. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this happen either; it’s happened a lot throughout technology and when art medium changes. (Example: Analog purists against digital film and music).
There are some things we should draw the line, and it’s usually when we lack ownership (i.e. streaming and corporate-owned clouds). But local LLM, it and the data lives in your computer. You still keep your data.
