5·9 months agoI may be spitballing here, but it seems that neoliberals can’t imagine an anti-left campaign could be run by anything but a conservative (read: republican) entity. That neoliberalism is actually conservative doesn’t cross their minds (why would it? the mere existence of leftism is coopted or erased in American media). That the NYT would be part of that apparatus hasn’t crossed enough people’s minds, until now. Their façade is cracking.

Hardly surprising when American science is bullied into silence by fundamentalists pushing YEC, abstinence, raw milk, vaccine denial, moon landing conspiracy… not to mention capitalists taking subsidies for faster broadband multiple billions of dollars, multiple times, over decades, and pocketing it… gutting science programs & support at the hands of political agenda has consequences.

There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary, those who don’t, those who thought this joke was in binary, and those who realize it works for any whole number base.

3·1 year agoThe DNC doesn’t care if they lose. They are not beholden to any social movement because they get their money from throwing up scare tactics every four years, and the corporations donate to/play both sides because it’s capitalists all the way down.
This is the internet, and I welcome such pedantry.
Which is what middle mouse button scrolling is for… horizontally or vertically, and fast, too.
