I can wait for new games to go on sale, there’s so plenty of great older games and a consistent flow of good indie games to play. AAA titles can wait till they are cheap enough to be worth the cost. Especially now with AAA being the cost of 4-5 Silksongs but not being 4-5 Silksongs of value.

  • My workplace still hasn’t given me my actual badge yet, I’m on my third week here. Everyday when I clock in I have to find the security guard to make them give me a temp badge, then have to find them at the end of my shift so I can get whatever I traded for a temp badge back.

You’d think it’d be important for an EVS tech to have their own badge quickly so I don’t have to wait for at least half an hour each shift. But guess they don’t want me to have it easy for the first few weeks. I’m lucky I at least have another EVS tech to work with so she can get me around till the security guard can get me a temp badge. So frustrating having to deal with this, literally typed this up while waiting on the security guard to come to his office.

  • Yeah fuck off with that bullshit, I’ve waited a long time already for this game. I can fucking wait even longer for the pc port and for that to come down to $20 or less. No way in hell is this game worth $80, not unless it is literally flawless. Meaning no bugs, no battlepass, no other macro transactions, no extra paid dlc. It needs to be the greatest game ever made to even come close to justifying that price tag.

Oh and how much I am laughing at all those Rockstar sycophants who said they would buy a brand new console just to play GTA VI on release now. Only for them to buy it again when it comes to pc. Still want to pay $500-900 for a PS5 plus an $80 game? Want to justify to your family that that game will be a nearly $600-1,000 purchase in this economy? Yeah they forcing you to sell the console and game the same day you get it.

  • Hey Hakeem Jeffery how about doing something meaningful and helpful for your constituents and the country at large. Rather than being just another spineless, feckless coward? How about understanding that the people choice Mandani and the candidates he supported? How about understanding that the people are fed the fuck up with you and the establishment’s endorsement of right wing and far right wing ideals? Have you considered that asshole? Doubt it. Send another strongly worded letter, surely the 11,000th one will be the one that will finally impact change…

  • My dad passed away when I was 10, in late April of 2014. Been 13 years of not having him for father’s day. Don’t remember what we even did for most of those few fathers days I got with him, just a blur for me.

I try to stay off the internet for most of the day and distract myself so I don’t spend the entire day crying. Doesn’t work very well, still end up crying for a good chunk of the day. Just wish I got one more Father’s Day with him.

  • This is the recipe I used, copied straight out of my recipe list

    Penne ala Vodka

        1. Ingredients
            1. 16 oz Penne Pasta
            2. 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
            3. 4 tablespoons Butter
            4. 1 Onion
            5. 2 Garlic Cloves (2 teaspoons of minced garlic)
            6. 1/2 cup Vodka
            7. 1/2 cup Tomato Paste
            8. 1 1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
            9. Salt
            10. Pepper
            11. Basil (Thinly Sliced)
            12. Parmesan

        2. Instructions
            1. Boil a generously salted pot of water for the penne and cook it al dente according to package directions
            2. Meanwhile, add the oil and butter to a skillet over medium heat
            3. Sauté the onion for about 5 minutes or until softened (ok if it lightly browns)
            4. Stir in the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds
            5. Add the vodka and let the sauce bubble
for 30 seconds or so
            6. Stir in the tomato paste until you've got a smooth mixture
            7. Stir in the cream, and reduce heat to medium-low
            8. Let the sauce warm
through
            9. I find this sauce thickens up very quickly (within a couple minutes), but feel free to cook it a little longer to thicken it up even more
            10. Season with salt & pepper as needed
            11. Stir in the fresh basil if using
            12. Toss with the drained pasta (if needed, thin the sauce out a bit with a splash of hot pasta
water prior to draining it)
            13. Serve with freshly grated parmesan cheese
