Because it seems to be working for TikTok. People’s attention spans are getting shorter and these short videos, each a couple of seconds long, are a money printer, as Google can put even more ads in between even less content.

Edit: I just noticed there’s something weird about this community. It can only be accessed via https://lemmy.world/c/childfree@lemmy.world but not https://lemmy.world/c/childfree. That might be the problem?

11·3 years agoI guess in your case it’s already too late anyway, but if someone else reads this: you don’t have to delete everything by hand. There are tools available like shreddit or Redact.
