I like the fact that the greenery is rendered in more detail! It draws the eye in towards the shack. I guess if I were to give any feedback it might be that there isn’t much sense of depth because all the green sort of flattens everything out. There is a foreground and a middle, with my eye stopping at the shack with nowhere to go. I can tell there’s depth because of the perspective but a darkening or cooling of hue would help imagine a deeper forest. I really enjoyed this and like many others I feel a sense of peace and coziness. Thanks for sharing!
I do love the transparency (and sometimes unpredictability) of watercolor which got me interested in the first place. There’s a vibrant and lively quality to gouache though, though, that really tugs at me. Maybe it’s the fact that you can go both opaque and transparent? Unfortunately money is tight and I can’t afford to splash out on decent gouache at the moment so I will focus on watercolor and squash the gouache for now.
These are great! I keep seeing gouache popping up everywhere, it’s like the universe is hinting that I should paint with gouache… but I just started learning watercolor! Why must there be so many tasty media?!!!

6·2 months agoMy background is in graphic design/marketing and I’ve mostly worked in the non-profit sector. A few years ago I canceled my Spotify subscription after they hiked up the prices and decided I wanted a way to stream my own music collection from anywhere. I found Navidrone, began learning docker, fell down the Jellyfin/arr rabbit hole, and eventually stumbled upon Cosmos Server as a simpler way to expose my containers safely. It’s been a fun project and a welcoming community so far.

3·4 months agoIdk if this helps anyone else but recently I couldn’t get any torrent results to load in Stremio so I did some digging and it turns out the developer of the plugin made changes and it no longer works with a VPN. If I turn off my VPN the torrent results will load and then I turn my VPN on again to stream as normal (I don’t have Real Debrid and live in the US so VPN is necessary)

I think OP said highlighter maybe?
I remember your first post, these are indeed dope! Glad you’ve got some more creativity flowing, how are you doing nowadays?

What kind of Hoya is this?
Speechless (US, 2016) is a sitcom about a family with a teenaged son who has cerebral palsy, is non-verbal, and uses a power chair. It’s hilarious and wholesome! The show doesn’t shy away from the difficulties of living in an ableist world but it’s also hopeful without veering into inspiration porn or preachiness.

This is wonderful, thanks for sharing your project! It’s nice to see hobbyists building projects too 😄

Propagating by leaf is one of the most popular methods in my experience because it’s so easy and you can do it year-round. I’ve started rooting leaves in both water and soil. Sometimes it takes a couple months for a baby plant to emerge from a potted prop so patience is key!
