I had just seen a Henson ad on Internet Today when I dropped the safety razor I already had a few inches onto my laminate counter and it just broke right at the threads. Cheap pot metal handle, wtf. i actually also found that the Henson shaver turned out to really be much nicer. I don’t cut my face the fuck up after changing in a new blade like I did with the one that broke.
In the US it depends on which state and local municipality. It’s so damn stupid. Damaging to the ecosystem and a real good way to just rust the fuck out of your vehicle at a rapid rate. You also hear about people getting run over while just laying or sitting on the beach which is cool too. I generally avoid beaches where it’s allowed because you have to watch out for motoring morons in their stupid jacked up trucks and SUVs. Not really an enjoyable walk.

As someone who’s owned two different safety razors, I can say that they’re not all the same. I can’t say anything about your $20 one, but with the first one I bought I kept cutting the shit out of my face every time I replaced the blade no matter how slow or what angle I went with. Then I dropped it on the counter one day and the handle broke at threads. Whoops.
I decided to buy Henson saftey razor, the one that advertises via YouTubers (enter this code, get a free 100pk of blades blah blah blah.) I almost never cut myself with it at all.
But yeah, fuck those cartridge razors and their plastic crap. All they do is clog up with crap between the blades that is a pain in the ass to get to rinse out. A good safety razor rinses out with a quick splash under the sink.
Makes me think of when US auto makers sold rebranded Japanese compacts in the US rather than just make their own compact models.
