I thought this was a known issue for a couple of years now. Not only that but they have also have dumbed down plots and dialogue. And its not only netflix in my experience.

Funny on-topic anecdote. A few weeks ago I watched the new “running man” and afterwards I wanted to read some articles and opinions about it just because and I found a reddit thread where someone in the coments saying something like the movie’s pace was all over the place because nothing happened for 20 mins and they just looked at their phone for 5 mins and couldnt tell what was happening. lol.

I had a similar problem with a laptop running mint with an external monitor. The solution in this thread fixed it for me.

Also I remember people saying that setting the lid option through gnome tweaks (you have to install it) works too but I didnt needed it.

I had no problems with the pacing, I was enjoying it. However, characters are flat and underdeveloped (Impressive, considering theres only 2 characters for most of the season) Carols behaviour in the last episode was unconsistent and in service of the plot. And the plot was quite predictable.

It was an ok show, it entretained me and I really like the premise but the execution was bland.

The command did it!!! Even stremio looks fine. Those icons still behave strangely, they ignore the icon size option in “panel settings” and they have a bit more padding than the rest but I think that was their “normal” behaviour like you said in your other comment.

Thats an IDE connector, i think. Old conection for drives. AFAIK there are no SSDs that use IDE so its probably using a SATA to IDE adapter so you could just take it out and conect directly to SATA.

Is it just redundancy? Creating alternative instances and services in the hands of different people so if one dies for whatever reason we have somewhere to migrate. Or is it something more complex. I dont think this is what you are talking about but Im curious; Would something like a p2p social network be possible? like everyone who uses it also hosts a little of it so no one single person, jurisdiction or server is trully in controll of it. Just asking for your expert opinion, not making a request.

Design wise, the ocellus was my least favourite, it looks too cartoony, but after this xeno fight it is starting to climb the ranks.

It is not necessary for the main plot to know what happened to the ship. I liked the mystery, and we all can imagine how transporting a xeno can lead to a crash. Knowing what happened to the ship this late doesnt really add anything to the narrative except for finding out Boy Kavalier was involved with it and since we already know everyone is gonna die I was expecting some cool murder scenes wich we didnt get.

This should have been the first episode and they could have “hidden” who was behind the sabotage by not showing a zoom call between earth and a spaceship thousands of km away (seriously, that was dumb and made even dumber by the fact that the rest of the crew seems to be recording “video mails” and not real time conversations) They could have even played with the mystery of who was it. A few episodes ago I was even wondering if yutani didnt purposefully had their ship crash in kavalier’s island to sabotage them by sending them the deadliest species known to mankind.

I agree with others that the xeno looks goofy in some scenes and that the crew is incredibly incompetent (like, 3 different alien species get to escape in 3 different and unrelated incidents, that ship was doomed even without a saboteur.)

Set and costumes were cool and I still enjoyed the chaos with all the aliens but it really annoys me when shows/movies withhold information from the audience without a narrative/plot justification just to get a lame “twist”.

I agree that the suit was very human looking. I almost laughed at the way it did that weird swaying motion when it was standing before it pursued the acting captain.

It was doing a premature victory dance.

Unlikely. The interference from the electric motor just worked because analog TVs used to recieve a (weak) analog signal via antenna.

That may be right, like I said Im not an expert. But when I was a kid we had a tv that misbehaved when the washing machine was working even when watching through composite.

Could be interference from the vacum. Some old tvs and depending on the electrical circuit they are plugged in dont like when high powered devices are running. A bad electrical circuit can aldo cause this, try plugging it to a regulator.

Badly tunned. Some tvs allow for fine tunning of the chanel they are “listening” to

Bad cable, even if it works on other tvs. Some tvs handle “weak” and/or “dirty” signals better than others.

Bad modulator. Same as cable

Bad tv. In my experience capacitors die and can cause those kinds of failures but I wouldnt recomend poking inside a crt tv if you dont know what you are doing.

BTW, thats a pretty TV. Hope you get it working.
