Your veins are another factor, in German we call this “schwere Beine” (“heavy legs” since they feel kinda tired and tingly). Water accumulates in your legs and feet and this can make them look swollen, feel tired and prevents me in the afternoon from putting on the same shoes I was effortlessly wearing in the early morning.
