The rest of her writing makes it clear she was severely mentally ill, and her video is very much in line with the shit going around on Terrorgram. The overwhelming majority of these shootings are perpetrated young white cis men and boys, not trans people, and anyone focusing on her gender identity is doing so to deflect from the far-right extremism.
To me, in this context, death is death. Many people like to jump into talks about things like motives, identity, and so on. Side circumstances. But they’re all just that, circumstances. All amoral details in a tragedy are equally amoral.
This story is heart wrenching. I can’t imagine what it would be like to lose my child to such horrific violence.
Much too early to speculate, but I can’t help feeling that this is too perfect for the administration. The manifesto reads like what the right imagines a trans person would say:
