It says the kid was doing “ding dong ditch” and then references a tiktok trend of “ding dong ditch” and recent cases of people being shot doing the same thing.

Where it may be misleading is the trend is called “door knocking” and keeps being referred to as “ding dong ditch” in the media despite being distinctly different. “Door knocking” is kicking, pounding, slamming your body, etc. into a front door in a manner that is consistent with trying to break in.

So did the kid knock on the door like a reasonable visitor, or was he pounding the door in a manner that would lead someone to believe someone was trying to break in?
