      It would ultimately be just as empty. Even if Feige came out today and said they were halting all Marvel productions until Kimmel’s show was reinstated, he would be fired and we’d all be reading about who’s going to be the next boss at marvel.

        That shouldn’t matter, in the past I’ve stood up for people who I didn’t like. It didn’t stop me from doing what I viewed as the right thing to fo.

          Yeah but RDJ is not a morally upstanding person. Dude is still friends with Mel Gibson because Gibson helped him decades ago. Loyalty is probably more important to him than doing the righteous thing.

    Went to go cancel all these subs and realized I had already done the needful. I will pirate the fuck out of these companies. Will it make a difference? Don’t care still gonna plunder.

      Canceled my subscription to D+ and Hulu yesterday as well and wrote in why when I chose “other”.

      More importantly, seed the shit out of it. Losing your subscription is small potatoes if you’re still consuming and talking about the media. Now if you can make it easier for other people to drop their subscription as well, thats the real win.

    I never stopped pirating. It’s been so weird seeing the zeitgeist over the past 15 years shifted into corporate ass kissing. Like I get it. Everyone grew up and became working stiffs. Sat in your stuffy suits in cubicles and started believing the corporate bullshit you had to huff every day.

    It’s been weird though. How we went from the great recession Occupy Wall Street mindset into a 180 pivot of pro-corporations. I sure did enjoy being lectured about paying monthly fees for owning nothing and making sure I enjoying it like a good consumer.

      People were guilted into thinking that the people working on TV and movies wouldn’t get paid. It wasn’t “corporate ass-kissing” more like the no-name camera guy should get paid for their work.

      Now I don’t know if that’s actually true, things are still getting made and actors are making shit loads of money.

    Guess no more She Hulk in the MCU… I probably will be down voted into oblivion but Im a marvel fangirl and I dont want to cancel my Disney plus. I still havent watched ironheart or eyes of wakanda and marvel zombies is coming soon. Gosh im so far behind.not to mention andor season 2. Plus I was trying to watch all of clone wars, rebels and other shows that lead into Asohka.

      Obviously, there is piracy.

      There’s also used media sales. Used media is so cheap today, because the only people buying it are doing so for purely moral or vibe reasons.

      There’s also the hybrid approach: accidentally buying “used media” created by pirates. You can tell it’s fake once you get it, because it’s not covered in ads or FBI reminders about how much more convenient piracy is.

      You might also find a friend willing to loan you their copies of these shows.
