> Get a friend and a scalpel
> Ask them to take out up to 3/4 of liver out of your body (no more than that!)

Discovering the hidden tunnel under the well in Brightstone Cove Tseldora only to get eaten by a mimic is one of those moments you can feel fromsofts devs laughing their asses off when designing the level

If it werent for big armor poise I’d still be dealing with those fuckers

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in
I’ve only been able to check the battery when connected to my android phone via Bluetooth. I don’t really mind not knowing the exact percentage as the red light that indicates low battery is good enough for me. But otherwise I agree on it being an excellent choice for its price. Not having to worry about drifting is great, puts all of my previous ds4 I’ve had to shame
can confirm, great controller for its price. Using it on arch linux with the 2.4 usb dongle and its plug and play

I’m on my first run of Dark Souls II and coming from Dark Souls Remastered it’s a very different experience. Parrying and backstabing feels harder? And losing health when dying is a tough pill to swallow (although now that I got the ring of binding it’s way more bearable) so I’m still getting the hand of it. I find it funny how the pursuer actually pursues and ambush you when you least expect it. Also, I’ve just beaten Ornstein from ds1? How did he come back after being bonked by Smough’s comically large hammer? I guess I’ll find out later on

not that old (2019) but Control with RT and Ultra quality will probably stress it some, looks really nice too!

Borrowing games from a library sounds awesome! How many games have you picked up over there?

The pirates at c/piracy@lemmy.dbzero.com have the best solution for you, if you’re willing to navigate the seas

I recently used the juiced patch to play the gog version. It only crashed once in my 18 hour playthrough while continously destroying stuff with unlimited rpg ammo, so I’d recommend it for the extra options like skipping the obnoxiously long video intro

oh yeah so far exploring the world is a joy. The way it shows you bits of loot in places you dont get how to reach at first makes it all the better when you find the way to jump over a roof or roll into dubious falls lol. Also talking to the downer chainmail guy and seeing how he reacts to your progress is such a simple but cool addition, for me it makes the suffering very worth it.

Thank you, I definitely will. I’ve only reached the second bell so far, but I’m pretty certain I’ll try the other titles fromsoftware has made so this info is nice to have. Funnily enough, I had a chat with my kinesiologist about souls games and he said dark souls II was very off putting for him, I guess I’ll try and see what the controversy is all about later on. Hope Ahead!

Went and tried playing Dark Souls again after leaving it on hold for a few months and this time it clicked HARD. I finally get why people love these games so much. The atmosphere, the combat, the sound effects, how it teaches you to persevere my god what an experience. The only thing I regret is not starting this sooner back when I had more free time lol
I had that exact problem and fixed it by changing the audio mode from hd audio to ac97 in the bios settings. Apparently linux doesnt like realteks hd audio
Maaan that tree diagram made exposing the answer so easy, I’m impressed! Thanks for sharing this
She loaned a husband that went missing just the day before the wedding, duh

I love those little sandwich swords
I feel like in that case it’s more like “We now double-check this food wasn’t made in the same area as foods with gluten”. Cross-contamination can be a pita for celiacs
