Weird how the Grand Old Pedos were insisting the Dems were going to ban prayer everywhere, yet its Pedo Don who started banning prayer in federal facilities…

The post title is misleading, and I think looking at the article makes it a lot clearer what is happening and why:

Federal authorities told demonstrators Friday that there would be “no more prayer” in front of or inside the Broadview ICE facility, in a move that mystified local leaders and raised legal questions.

A federal representative delivered the news to a huddle of faith leaders and activists standing outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility Friday, speaking after faith leaders were denied entry to the building for the third time Friday.

In other words, prayer is being used as a form of protest outside the Broadview ICE facility. The solution, if you’re the US government, apparently, is to ban prayer!

Like you say, prayer is only banned if it is being used to protest Trump and ICE.

But that’s tantamount to saying “You can only pray for the things that are on the government’s approved list.” This should be pretty much just as shocking and offensive to most religious people as an outright ban on prayer.

Based on your excerpt, it appears the Trump administration has banned prayer inside of, and nearby, federal facilities, just like the title says.

      What is misleading?

Truth doesn’t matter, reality doesn’t matter, their OWN MYTHOLOGY doesn’t matter to them. Most of them haven’t even read their own manual outside the dozen or so cherry picked verses that they use somewhat interchangeably for conflicting messages, once a week for 45 minutes.

I read the title and came to this exact conclusion. I assumed prayer was being used as a form of protest and that was banned by the feds. What’s misleading? Prayer is protected speech, even as a form of protest, no?

Title says “in,” means within the grounds of the facility that these protesters were denied access. “At” would probably be a better preposition, or maybe ‘around.’ “In” implies that they’ve banned detainees from prayer.

This is why many communities enforce the post title being the same as the article title. The title provided is incredibly misleading, whereas the actual article title is not.

Why are you confused? Dictators control everything in your life. If religion is working against them, guess what? Religion becomes the enemy as well.

First, New York elected Zohran Mamdani. Now praying is banned in federal buildings. It’s literally printed on the federal currency, “in god we trust”. We must unite as conservatives to fight the wave of socialism attacking our very foundations.

/s jk I’m a European and have no skin in the game, but I’m pretty sure I’ll see newspaper articles with similar bullshit in the not too distant future.

It applies to everyone praying outside the immigration processing facility. They certainly don’t want God getting involved in immigration.

You think trump is loyal to those who elected him?! Moreover you think that loyalty extends to allowing them to criticise, oppose or protest against him?

No! Trump turns against people who supported him on the tiniest whim. He is the biggest snowflake of the lot and abhors criticism.

They support him. NOT the other way round. He has nothing but sneering contempt for people who criticise him.

Trump doesn’t care about Christians or what they believe. He only cares that he can dupe them into supporting him by taking away access to abortion. If you believe he cares about Christians he’s duped you just as hard as he’s duped them.

So I think it is you who do not fully understand this administration, if you think that trump will protect them while they publicly criticise him.

He will not, and their prayers are meaningless to him. Only their uncritical and unthinking support is.

Dude theyre align with the evangelicals who are a coin flip on whether they consider Catholicism to be Christian, you know the largest descendant church of the Roman Imperial church? It is not above them to effectively shout “FUCKING HERETIC” and shoot even Jesus Christ himself if he disagreed with them. These people make the fuck fest of the waldesian crusade seem accepting.

“I’m dumbfounded,” the police chief told Block Club. “Every time I talk with [federal officials], it feels like their rules keep changing. We don’t really know what’s happening, I’m sorry I can’t say more.

No shit, they have no rules. They just make up shit and lies as they go.

I’m not sure - is this the free speech maximalism the Confederates were touting?

Or is that only when they think they are getting “shadow banned” on some private platform when trying to spread unhelpful conspiracy theories during a pandemic or when they are trying to spread October surprise nonsense about Hunter Biden’s hard drive, oops, I mean, “laptop” to flip an election?

You’re confusing those who were duped by trump with those doing the duping.

Religion is useful to him. He isn’t actually religious. He doesn’t have any actual beliefs other than that he should be powerful, rich, important, revered and in the news.

Protecting people isn’t his thing. He’s only protecting the pedophile friends of Epstein because he is one and releasing the unedited files would make him look bad.

Trump is loyal like Pluto is warm.

He loves people praying for him. He can’t abide people criticising him. Hates it.

Not a Nazi salute, it’s called a benediction. Once only performed by “Charismatic Christians” it’s become more mainstream nowadays. Usually they’ll wave from side to side. In person you wouldn’t mistake it for a Nazi salute, it’s just a bad picture.

This time d say it’s not a nazi salute: in these bizarre prayer groups they reach out like that as if putting their hand on a shoulder or back or whatever: 100% weird sure; but they aren’t doing the salute
