Why troubleshoot Terraform when you can procrastinate by updating your onboarding slide deck instead?

Meh. Most of our laptops stay with the user until replaced. If not, they usually come off pretty easily, and a little goo gone does the rest.

If they’re really troublesome, I’ll just take it for myself because idgaf, or give it to an intern.

If only our turnover rate was that low… Getting them off isn’t bad. It’s the folk who work outside or by a window so the uncovered areas of chassis oxidizes faster than the areas under the stickers. When you take the stickers off you’re left with those permanent tattoo marks.

I just offer to order staff those cheap laptop shells and they can put their stickers on those.

Ahh, all our people work at desks inside, usually even when they’re in the field. Dell aluminum shells don’t retain or discolor much. A rubber/plastic ruggedized one would be a different story entirely.

My problem is I’m always rocking an old thinkpad, and I don’t want to “waste” any good stickers on something that could break at any moment. Better leave the stickers in a drawer.

But then how people will know:

    • what Linux distro I’m using,
    • what programming languages I code in,
    • what VTuber I could get a pack of stickers that I thought looked cool?

It’s been awhile, but part of my job used to be removing this and still… If you can tell what color the laptop is, then you obviously don’t like the computer that much.

    I’d check out that PowerPoint.

I just have specific subject instructional decks at this point, though they are all riddled with terrible jokes and puns.

    Just how I like them.
