This Hour Has 22 Minutes is not “Canadian SNL”
Just another example of Americans not having any clues about anything outside their borders and not even caring enough to bother to find out either.
Bro, I’ve never even heard of this website. Way to baselessly generalize every American, even those that might otherwise align with you.
It’s not a website, it’s a TV show that’s been on the air since 1993 (~32 years)

SCTV was created to compete with SNL. It kept many Canadian comedians in Canada, like John Candy, Eugene Levy, and Catherine O’Hare though some also did SNL—like Marin Short.
I am saying Kkds in the Hall filled the comedy void in Canada left by SCTV. You can disagree about that I guess.

SNL is Canadian SNL. Lorne Michaels is from Toronto and he scouts most of his talent from Canada.
Didn’t know about this show and I just subbed with Jellyseer. Being from the US I hate US TV.
It can be hot or miss, but if you’re into Canadian politics it’s been very hit this year.

I dunno 22 minutes is cut and dry satire. SNL is a variety show, sure they dip their toe into pop politics but it’s primarily about entertainment/comedy
The difference between Colbert and 22 minutes is one is more of an ensemble and the other is held down primarily by an Individual. There’s a talk show element to Stuart/Colbert that isn’t there for 22 minutes either
