when i saw linus from LTT complaining about the price i just rolled my eyes. stupid as hell to think it would be priced like a console.
I respect this guy’s opinion on this and totally agree. Everyone hates consoles so much, but my ps5 IS still playing the majority of games perfectly fine for a fraction of the cost. I could care less that its upscaled to 4k in checkerbox, it looks fine to me for $500. As much as I would like a steam box theres no way it’s for me if its going to be $1k.

He’s a comedian and plays different roles. It’s not necessarily his opinion. It’s just entertainment.
I had initially assumed it could be sold at a loss and then they would earn off of game sales. Then it was pointed out that people would buy it and put whatever they want on it for a cheaper PC. I know we aren’t going to change the trajectory of things, but maybe someone has an idea to share for fun?
