Yep lol my SO picks up on and accommodates my, er, “quirks” more often than I even notice said “quirks.”

I’m very grateful but it’s also funny in a way to think I’m doing great at masking then be told (lovingly) that I look like a distressed owl while attempting to tolerate a public space 😂

Autism motherfucker

It took me way too long to understand this post. How’s an autistic gal supposed to know what a stare means?

I was in that situation with myself when I was going through the autism diagnosis process, I even literally stared at myself in the mirror a few times. One line specifically I remember reading from the papers during it was something like “the patient shows classic tic symptoms, constantly scratching their head and twitching” and I was like “but-b… … oh”

I’ve never been.

I recall my ex having psychology courses in college and her looking in to me like this.
