I know the speed of light in a vacuum is around 700 million miles per hour. But does the brand of vacuum matter? Would my Shark upright have faster or slower light than, say, a Hoover canister?

Yes, the speed is affected by the mood of the vacuum. The happier the vacuum the faster the speed of light. I recommend a Henry if you’re trying to achieve top speed.

For best results I would use a Kirby brand vacuum. Preferably the pink, puffball shaped model.

      I don’t know, I’ve heard that Kirby’s really suck.

It depends on the the amount of stuff crammed into the bag. That’s what the c stands for in e=mc2, cram.

Bagless vacuums are actually slower for light. If you listen to them closely they will say that canister vacuums are not their bag.
