Well, so far, the best information points to autism not being a disease. It isn’t something that’s a malfunction of normal processes. It’s the processes themselves being different at a fundamental level.

In other words, the only way to conceivably “cure” autism would be by preventing it from happening in the first place. And there’s just not a way to do that with current technology and knowledge. I’m not even sure if it’ll ever be possible.

It’s like trying to cure red hair.

I think the idea of curing some sorts of mental disorders can get pretty ethically shaky. People with mental disorders can provide unique things to society. Imagine the world if autism never existed. I guarantee you it would not be some healthy socially adept society, it would be behind ours in a lot of ways, technologically, culturally, all sorts of shit.

There is a level of diversity of experience that is required to keep a society going IMO. If everyone was mostly homogenous, nothing would get done, no ideas would be had. I feel that my autism helps me “fill niches” that neurotypical people do not fulfill. How would society look if there were less people like me? I would think it would suck lol but thats just me.

The truth is that most struggles by us neurodivergent people are not actually rooted in our neurodivergence alone, but in our neurodivergence CLASHING WITH neurotypical society. We would fit in if only there was a world created with our differences in mind. We are not cursed to a universally dreadful existence, just cursed to be in a world designed for someone else. Luckily this is fixable through politics. School is possible for neurodivergent people, it just wasn’t designed for neurodivergent people, so we might have to bend ourselves a little for it. I don’t think your hate should lie in you having autism. Your hate should be reserved for the people and systems that prevented the creation of support systems for people like us.

For context, I’m autistic, & am fed-up with the anti-vaxxers gaslighting about what the evidence shows.

California outlawed thiomersol, & their autism-rates kept climbing, so it had nothing to do with that.

Autism’s an incorrect-gene-expression, altering the substance of our brains.

The gene-expression has to be corrected, throughout the growing-process.

Because it’s epigenetic, it can compound ( the gene-expression of autism makes next-generation, children-of-them, more likely to be autistic, exactly matching the evidence ).

All the people who pretend that it “didn’t exist” before recent-times, can take their ignoring-of-evidence & go eat rocks: Richard Feynman’s autistic-body-language is obvious-as-hell, in the old videos of him, on yt.

That ancient Greek guy who spent months calculating polygons, with more & more & more sides, to approximate pi, was equally-obviously autistic.

    Isaac Newton was obviously autistic.

The Industrial Revolution was obviously autism’s 1st major triumph ( who ELSE would keep bashing & bashing & bashing away at MAKING coal+steel+steam work properly?? )

Now to the problem of autism-the-condition’s-existence, vs White medicine’s authority-based-medicine-that-identifies-as-“evidence-based”-but-rejects-evidence-which-isn’t-supporting-their-authority…

( Dad was a medical-researcher, & doctor, & he taught me to THINK, while teaching me medical-culture’s narcissism/machiavellianism/sociopathy, so this is a lesson carved deeply into my life )

Ever notice how doctors are adamant that their using the placebo-effect is valid medicine … but when any homeopath uses the placebo-effect, that is charlatainism & quackery??

Their claim that they’re doing evidence-based, not authority-based, medicine, is falsified, right there, in that embodying of their prejudice/ideology/religion.

That is the purest, simplest case.

Yes, doctors prescribe placebos, in treating people.

    https://www.edge.org/response-detail/25433

is less blunt than I am, but that article ended up being a chapter in https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/this-idea-must-die

So, evidence-based-medicine ISN’T coincident with what doctors are doing…

…what doctors are doing is protecting their established-knowledge’s authority, NOT being-fidelity-to-evidence.

Here’s another example: Dr. David Williams, vs oncology’s KNOWING ABOUT a non-patented chemical which saves lives from cancer, but they snuff it, because that conflicts with their regime’s authority…

    https://www.faim.org/a-cure-for-cancer-hidden-in-plain-sight

I haven’t read that version: I read the original version in his newsletter, that a friend handed me, years ago.

He had a friend who was in a drug-trial, for cancer-treatment.

ALL others in the trial died.

In the closeout-interview, he mentioned that he’d been taking also fenbendazole, & the oncologist WASN’T SURPRISED by his survival, then.

    DR. DAVID WILLIAMS WAS LIVID!

They KNEW this saved lives, & snuffed it?!

    & it’s industry-wide.

Read “Doctored” to see how money-driven-medicine forces doctors to choose an entire paradigm which is incompatible with living-values, if you want, or “Money Driven Medicine”, which probably is on exactly the same thing.

Now that the evidence contradicting medical-identity is visible, let’s see the evidence for treatment-of-autism…

    https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/nutrient-power-3 came out years-ago, & I, being explorer-of-meanings, tried it.

    William J. Walsh had a 30,000 patient research-database, & did data-mining in it, to discover what’s actually going-on.

He discovered, unrelated to autism, that siblings of the same house who ended-up with only-1 in prison, tended to have that sibling have abnormally-high blood-metals, often lead, or cadmium, or either 1 of the copper-zinc pair.

( obviously, treating THAT would reduce the brain-malfunction which is a driver in criminality, but why would anybody accept that brain-chemistry was responsible for societal-problems? I mean sure the removal of leaded-gasoline correlates with a steady drop in criminality, but institutions/civilizations don’t accept responsibility for that kind of thing, right??

    /s )

Anyways, Walsh “conveniently” left-out key pieces of information in his book, but he did identify that MOST psychiatric-conditions are actually symptoms ON a few underlying-conditions.

ALL autistics are undermethylated-DNA he identified.

He identified an experiment that we can do, to mitigate the undermethylation-distortion of our nervous-systems.

    SAM-e.

He failed to explain how it’s destroyed in the stomach, so one has to get it PAST the stomach, for it to work.

    Etc.

For me ( 75-kg male, old bastard ), 400-mg of enteric-coated SAM-e, taken with clear-water, & NOTHING in the carbs/sweet categories, before breakfast, then wait until the nausea hits, perhaps 30-40-minutes later, for 3-months, & … for the 1st time in my entire-life, I experienced living WITHOUT STRESS.

    How strange!!

Took away my studying-drive, though, so … that wasn’t going to work.

In a later year, I did it again, & it did exactly the same thing, again.

I also did the Methionine experiment 2 times ( the “M” in SAM-e is Methionine ), & discovered that that takes 4 months, & 500-mg of methionine isn’t enough for my biology/mass: its effect was significantly weaker ( but much less costly, & no nausea: just take it with breakfast & before bed, & you’re good ).

So, 4 replications of his experiment, & consistent results.

So, when he says that you’ve got to do THAT intervention in an autistic-life, BEFORE their brain is set-in-its-wiring, to significantly-mitigate autism, … I accept that as evidence-based medicine, whose objective-validity is partially-tested/proven by my own experiments, through years.

Ah, but what does authority-based-medicine hold to be true?

    Well, ad-hominem negation: that’s what.

I’ve been told by people that William J. Walsh had an entry in Quackwatch.

Can’t find any such entry right now, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t there ( their “search” uses logical-or, apparently, so it is configured to prevent narrowing-down on one’s target? idiots )

They WON’T DO THE EXPERIMENT AND THEY WON’T TOLERATE ANY REPLICATION OF THE EXPERIMENT TO BE VALID, BECAUSE VALIDITY IS ONLY OF-THEIR-AUTHORITY, is the problem.

    Got an autistic-kid?

Read Walsh’s book, & KNOW WHAT HE LEFT-OUT ( probably unconsciously, to protect his patient-dependency-on-him ), & do the experiment yourself.

    It worked for me.

NOW I KNOW that if I ever need to “take the edge off”, to keep me alive, all I have to do is supplement with methionine, & that’ll do it ( gradually ), which HAS saved my life, in the past decade.

Having been gaslit by psychiatry about this, for years, I’m not exactly “enamoured” of their gaslighting about being “evidence based” medicine, when they’re authority-based, NOT evidence-based, & THEY KILL LIVES with their gaslighting…

but … hey: institutional-authority’s becoming visible in its true-nature, among the Epstein-class, right?

As researchers Logan, King, & Fischer-Wright discovered, narcissism’s THE medical-culture’s fulcrum & center.

& that isn’t going to change, is it?

https://www.ted.com/talks/david_logan_tribal_leadership is a too-oversimplified rendition of the key concept in their book “Tribal Leadership”.

Here’s an experiment their work made obvious:

walk into any normal hospital, in a professional gender-appropriate suit, so you look upper-middle-class, & see what percentage of the staff in that hospital meet your eye.

It’ll be very-low, for most hospitals, simply because the toxicity of doctor-narcissism has poisoned the human-validity among the “inferiors” throughout their culture.

Here’s another experiment to test the same thing, in a different angle:

have your local acting-school send their more-advanced students to different clinics & hospitals, so simply hang-around, studying people, seeking narcissism-exemplars…

Those narcissism-exemplars are going to be doctors.

You don’t need to see them in their white-coats: THE BODY-LANGUAGE IS SCREAMING NARCISSISM.

Their book is simply 1 of the most-important reads among our world, as it gives one the understanding necessary to get one’s-own-life & one’s-family out from the narcissism-glass-ceiling of cultures!

but understand that Griffin Hospital did things differently.

Griffin got multiple mentions in “Corps Business: the 30 MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES of the US Marines”, by senior-Forbes-editor Freedman, because their culture was wholistic & inclusive, & it produced results like housekeeping people moving patients, because caring IS their job, in that culture, UNlike medical-culture’s standard…

IIRC, it is Griffin which is what caused Logan, King, & Dr. Fischer-Wright to understand just how narcissistic normal medical-culture is…

    So, … EVIDENCE-based medicine contradicts authority-based “evidence-based” medicine.

To treat autism’s distortion-of-brain-formation, you need to hold to EVIDENCE-BASED medicine, contradicting authority-based “evidence-based” medicine, & you need to keep doing that while they’re railroading your life for doing it, for violating the cozy disintegrity that they’re profiting from.

Perhaps you can see why I had to go no-contact with both parents, for years at a time, in order to protect my life, against their medical-prejudice…

    This understanding COST, heavily.

But I’d rather die knowing Truth than die having been loyal to dishonest-institution.

They chose otherwise, at a deep level.

That wasn’t any “intrinsic” difference in them: they were just more set-in-their-identity when the contradiction got strong, & they sided with their established-identity, whereas I sided with what I valued more than my not-yet-set-identity.

No point in pretending I’m somehow “better” than they were.

    There’s your answer.

    It’s testable, it’s objective, it’s got backing.
