As winter turns to spring in 2026, American politics is experiencing a bit of economic-messaging déjà vu from the Trump administration.

Much like last year at this time, the president has leapt headlong into a major new undertaking that threatens to rock an already-wobbly economy. And much like last year, the administration is asking Americans to accept some “short-term pain” for promised long-term gain.

In 2025, it was tariffs. In 2026, it’s the war with Iran.

Yeah, dictators are known for promising good things after enduring “just a few months of pain,” as this pain becomes the signature of their rule.

I hope this was worth it for you, Americans.

Edit: this graph is probably outdated since now the National debt is soon to reach 39T… so add another 2 T to the pedophiles pie there. Fucking moron.

Tell the idiot the trick of this pie is to NOT have the biggest slice…

I want to highlight again (I have numerous times in the past) as a human being this is who Americans said they were ok with. Forget policy. Forget politics. Americans twice have elected a man who openly thinks women are less than men.

It really frustrates me as a non-American that they don’t get it. As a general human being he is disgusting. This is who, on a world stage, they feel represents them.

Are they so dumb that they don’t realize, or so self-indulgent they don’t care? Either is scary.

Combination of dumb, hateful, and self-righteous. The ratio changes but every Trump voter I’ve known is drawing from those three wells. And they tend to have poor emotional understanding and regulation, so they’re easily frightened (and being scared makes them mad).

Nope. In fact the cost of the refunds will be passed onto the taxpayer, just like the cost of the tariffs were passed onto to the consumer. We get to pay for them twice.

I’m wondering when will Americans pick up pitchforks and drag this orange scum out of the White House and hang him on a street lamp by his balls. Like, what the serious actual fuck? Not only Trump fucked up USA entirely, his dumbass war on Iran pushed entire world into like 8th “once in a lifetime” bullshit crisis.

Unfortunately would never happen. They’re to cowardly and the majority still support all of them in power.

If they weren’t so indoctrinated they would be a nation with free healthcare care for all, actual social security nets and offerings, and persecuting those bars in the Epstein lists.

But no they cower begging for scraps whilst other nations get ready to send US children to die on some sand dune.

Let’s pretend you live in Spain. What’s the logistical likelihood of you and your mates going to Ukraine and ousting someone?

The US is fucking huge. Imagine mobilizing a crowd from the midwest to Washington, forget the west coast. Chicago to DC is 696 miles (1120 km for the civilized). Illinois, where Chicago is, has a population of 12 million. That’s a lot of organizing we don’t already have in place. We’re working on it.

You’ve been downvoted but I agree.

The streets should be being protested by the second amendment groups if no one else, yet it’s just minor protests with a few bigger ones thrown in every 6 months or so.

I keep on saying that a dementia riddled, orange child rapist, shitty reality TV star, 6 timed bankruptcy champion, and confirmed rapist, pants shitter is overtaking their whole country and putting his Own Brand™ version of the Gestapo on the streets to murder their fellow country people and there’s hardly any real major protests about it.

Less about bravery and more about acting as a group without being paid to do so. We have plenty of lone wolves but that’s not what’s needed.

Got an internet warrior over here. There are activists doing things all over the country. Unless you think citizens can take on the US military, in which case you’re dumber than your post makes you look.

Not sure if you mean in that particular race or ever.

Of course I meant in that particular race. Trump received the most votes of the candidates in the 2024 presidential, general election.

No one is saying that there aren’t dissenters, but when the vast majority of Americans are either supporting or indifferent to what’s happening, it’s really hard to say “Americans” don’t want it. A minority, regardless of how vocal, is still a minority.

When healthcare is tied to one’s employment, it’s difficult to go out and make change. There are millions of people that are out protesting. It’s a lot easier said than done, but it’s still generalizing 60+ million people that didn’t sign up for this shit.
