“Good, I’m glad he’s dead,” Trump said.

Donald Trump reacted to the death of former FBI Director and Special Counsel Robert Mueller with a celebratory post on Truth Social minutes after news broke on Saturday.

“Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social at 1:26 p.m. EDT, signing the message, “President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

Mueller, who died at 81, led the Justice Department’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and examined ties between Trump’s campaign and Moscow.

It’s been really weird coming to terms with th3 fact that I actively want him to die. I’ve never hoped for anyone’s death ever. It’s s a weird, scary feeling that I hope dies with him.

      Soon.

Hahaha I know. Men have shorter lifespans than women. They just die. Shittler will wake up dead one day soon. The world will rejoice.

I’m not wishing any specific harm come to this monster, but damned if I don’t stock a chest of party favors to celebrate the happy event.

Why not? I hope someone shoots his dick off and he dies a horrific death. Everyone claims they would go back in time and kill baby hitler. An innocent little baby, but o gully gee whiz, i don’t wish harm on modern hitler who is also a rapist.

I am. I hope it hurts, a lot. Not just physically, but also that whatever emotions he’s capable of are all steered towards deep feelings of being a stupid little bitch for nothing.

You need to be angrier. You don’t need to be the one to do it, but on the internet where you can say whatever you want I do not understand why anyone would choose to be worried about appearing too mean for hating one of the worst people on planet.

Remember just a bit ago where they were so horrified and clutching their pearls about anyone saying they were glad Charlie Kirk was dead

Deep breath. I wonder if I can say this without the room thinking I’m defending Charlie Kirk… Hm. I’ll give it a shot.

Objectively, I think it’s wrong to celebrate death. I tell my kids that we don’t cheer when someone dies. Even when Trump goes, much as we hate him, we’ll just quietly turn the page. Isn’t there some saying about how you don’t really believe in a principle unless you’re willing to apply to to your worst enemy? Well, so yeah, I will not cheer when Trump dies, though I may moan every day that he’s alive.

Having said this, I would indeed add an extra layer of revulsion for cheering an assassination. In addition to the simple fact that it’s a death, it’s also violence.

So while I appreciate the spirit of this, it’s not a perfect equivalency.

Fuck that! When Trump dies, I’ll open up champagne… one less nazi in the world

Going high when they keep going as low as humanly possible gets real tiring…

I get what you’re saying, I just don’t feel the same way. Trump has done a lot of damage to the world, to political discourse, to the US’ standing in the rest of the world. His death will be a net positive for the global society, and I will treat it as such. With champagne.

          Fuck that!

I’m happy to disagree respectfully on this and not judge you. I can certainly understand where you’re coming from. I’m also very willing to go low and actually fight back - I agree the Obama way is partly how we got here. I just personally don’t see much to gain on this particular thing, and definitely feel I have something to lose.

That only applies to the very worst of people. For Republicans that are not sufficiently loyal like Mueller, they can celebrate. Expecting them to have any moral clarity is asking a lot of these assholes.

Come on, poetic irony. Kill the president of the United States while this shitpost is still in everyone’s feed so we can all repost it with the names swapped.

I have bad news for John Barron:

When you die, there will be dancing in the streets and fireworks going off all over the world, motherfucker.
