voluntary, faith-based therapy for kids.
Chiles contends her approach is different from “conversion therapy” practices from decades ago, like shock therapy.
I really wish people would realize children do not have “voluntary, faith” they believe what they are told. Sky Daddy is going to punish you for touching yourself? Better not do that.
To a lot of people, that doesn’t matter. Many believe that parents have the right to raise their kid however they want. To these people, the “voluntary” is only referring to the parents.
Which is a huge problem, seeing how it justifies torture
Pushing those kinds of beliefs onto children is a form of grooming
There ought to be a conversion therapy to get people who believe in nonsense like god and jesus the help they need. When they use their make believe books to legislate, their delusion spreads to more stupid people who don’t know any better. We need to spread the words of “critical thinking” and “reality based facts” to the god-believers.
Good luck with that.
And the country keeps falling into the dark ages.
