Played Persona 5 Tactica, which is fine.

The gameplay is similar to the the Mario and Rabbits games, although mostly focused on getting screen wide All-out Attacks - which target everthing within the triangle your three team members create on the map. Spam these and even on hard most maps are done in 1 or 2 rounds.

The story is quite wordy and feels like a slog in some early parts, but overall I really like both new characteres and their story. All in all, I much prefer this over P5 Strikers.

    Next up is Octopath 2.

I’m still playing Fantasian Neo Dimension. But i would say i will finish it soon. I like it. It’s good music from Nobue Uematsu and it kind of classical approach telling a fantasy story. It’s not really something groundbreaking, but it’s good enough in every part, nice story, very good music, and the battle system is not deep, but a little bit unique and good balanced. I read last month critic about the random encouter, i don’t think they are to much or annoying, it’s fine for me. I will probably play something not jrpg related afterwards

Finished Trails Beyond the Horizon. Great game, definitely in the higher tiers of games for that series. But that ending… sure, it was amazing, but how the hell does Falcom follow up from there?

Currently playing Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian. Quite enjoyable, not sure how much I like the “crossover” world but the main duo is solid, the alchemy is miles better than Atelier Yumia and there’s some interesting worldbuilding going on.

Yeah, that ending is still sitting with me. I keep thinking it’s definitely Falcom’s best finale chapter to date (very little bloat, refreshing!) and it might even be the best single chapter of the series, pound for pound.

I’m playing Atelier Ryza atm. It’s my 2nd try at it and it’s going much better (I wasn’t super into the crafting the first time).

Next up will be either Tales of Berseria, Yakuza 0 or Ni No Kuni 1.

Whole lotta nuthin on the JRPG front. Still nibbling at Tales of Berseria here and there. Maybe eventually it’ll grab me. Or maybe I’ll just shift to Ys X: Proud Nordics instead. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Got sucked into Mewgenics this month, mostly been playing that and the new Honkai: Star Rail story.

I’ve finished Makai Toushi SaGa, I first tried it years ago when I was still new to JRPGs and didn’t like it very much, but now I found it incredibly fun, albeit annoying in some aspects.

I’m now playing the NDS remake of the sequel SaGa 2 Hihou Densetsu: Goddess of Destiny, I actually had to restart the game from the beginning because my initial party was terrible and I didn’t want to grind for better stats, despite that I’m enjoying the game.
