I hate these posts because it leans… idk. leans into sterotypes about women.
Im more than “omg clothes”.
sorry, I wont say anything about it again, and ill scroll past as I usually do. But everytime I see “how would you style this?” on a perfectly thin, young, model women, I feel discluded, because women stuff is like, so much bigger than how we look. I hate it and it upsets me. This is one way capitalism entraps women. “Buy clothes and be pretty!”
im sorry I had to get it off my chest, I wont bother no one about it again. Just sucks for me evertime I see this kind of thing.
I can definitely see this side of things, I used to be more like this (especially early in my own transition). And you certainly do have a great point with the whole “ideal body type” complaint.
But I do think there’s more to it than just purely “omg clothes”. How I see it is more of getting a picture of other people’s style. Without necessarily needing everyone to be comfortable sharing photos of themselves or their space. It also gives a little glimpse into who someone is, how you dress can share a lot about you.
I do hope to see some of these fashion posts with models of more varied body types. Sorry if this comes off as confrontational/argumentative, just genuinely think there’s benefit from these posts in a community building perspective.
Me too! I struggle to find them in clothing that is good for posts though any suggestions? It’s hard enough finding ones that aren’t white

This isn’t a colour or style I’d wear but I think I could pull them off! I’m going for an oversize off the shoulder graphic t shirt with a cardy. I’m either gonna go chunky boots or chunky trainers idk what. Accessories I’ll keep simple cos there’s a lot of noise in the outfit
Crop top & skin tight plain white top. Then a puffy cropped jacket or flat jacket matching the pants texture with it.
I’d want a negative space between two positives.
I would never wear those pants because I don’t do high waisted anything like that.
If I were to style it, I’d probably say a solid color tank top underneath with a multicolor flannel on top. Maybe add a beanie and some sneakers to go for that 90s grungy look.
As a 90s chick I totally approve of this
