That one is easy. I’d choose to understand all animals. I would be able to understand my bunnies and maybe they would like me more lol. They just get mad at me because I’m the one that brushes them and they both need to be brushed a lot.

Would you rather be able to quickly read all the books you want or quickly watch all the movies you want?

Animals. I can practically get close enough with the use of translators (human and otherwise) and nonverbal communication.

If I could understand animals, I would love that. My mom rescued a dog that was abused. I understand the dog some and accommodate her the best I can. But I wish I could understand better ways to make her feel comfortable. I accidentally scared her when I was going to sweep the floor (I think she thought I was going to hurt her with the broom) and it just broke my heart.

I know on some level sentient beings are just trying to live. But when I see a beaver or a chipmunk, I wish I knew what they were doing. What makes them love my neighbor’s yard? Do you live in that old pallet? Do their kids leave sticks lying around that are useful? Why does that bird like that spot? Is it warm? Is it a good vantage point to spot a tasty snack? (Like the neighbor’s chipmunks.) Why don’t I see any more spider webs in that spot? Was that where a specific spider would live, but it has since passed? Did the web get destroyed and it moved?

Would you rather gain the superpower of being able to shapeshift into any form, or to be able to heal anyone from any physical illness with a touch?

Oh, whoops! I forgot to pose my own last time!

Would you rather have a personal chef who cooks every meal or a personal maid who cleans everything?

NGL both sound a bit uncomfortable, but I’d probably go with the maid since I like cooking; I just don’t like the dishes. >_<

Would you rather never have to sleep or never have to eat? You can still do either if you want, but you face no negative consequences for skipping the one you choose.

Do I get to choose if the healing power gets used or not when I am touched / touching? Or even better, at what point in the touching they get cured?

Would you rather be deeply, sexually attracted to trees or terrified of them?

Would you rather have all your needs solvable for free within a short walk of your house, or be able to travel the world for free?

For either choice assume this is a magical process that has no environmental impact, and it only applies to you.

From the first paragraph alone I would pick the first. Dense, mixed use, walkable urban development is great. I want to live somewhere where everything I need is right there nearby.

But since you insist on it being magic, it must be something else. So I’ll take the free travel.

Nono, it’s just nothing fancy … more a case of you would never have any need to go more than 15 minutes from your abode EVER.

If I’m ever able to live the kind of life I want, I’ll never be more than 15m away from home out of necessity.

Depends on the definition of my needs.

Needs to survive? Pass, travelling without environmental impact for free is too good. Needs to fulfill all the needs in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs? I’ll take it.

If you consider one of my needs the need for community, I’m in. Especially if I can work and get luxuries on top of that if I so choose.

Travel is nice but fuck I have struggled so much with meeting my needs, none of those extras matter.

Does the first option give me a house if i don’t yet have one too? Do I get to choose where this house is? Does this include medical needs? If so, definitely the first one - I love travelling, but I have too many needs 😅

I’d say adequate comfortable housing is included, but you don’t get a choice :-P
