I fell down a rabbit hole yesterday and read the several related manga by the same author. Basically, these poor girls are trapped in a Legend of Zelda style cycle of reincarnation where they keep getting forced into similar circumstances. In the 2nd story, they’re the side romance rather than the main characters. In the 3rd, they’re in an ecchi manga with even more sexual assault and fan service than the original. The 4th and most recent manga is easily the best, and while it hits harder if you read the other stories, I wouldn’t really recommend the rest of them.
Will throw this into random corner of my brain and check them out after I empty my backlog… eventually.
Mech (and yuri) is indeed the coolest! I need a yuri version of Pacific Rim
