My impression is that you just stop giving a fuck about that fact too.
It’s meta, you don’t give a fuck about even telling people you don’t give a fuck.
Then in your 60s you begin to forget that you ever did have a fuck.
In your 50s you find that you unintentionally gave a few fucks in your 40s much to your dismay.

Thou/thee/thine were used to refer to people who were close to you, good friends, intimate partners. Alternatively, used as a kind of pejorative, saying “You are lesser than me.”
So you to thou was like the equivalent of ustedes to vosotros, in a sense
