As I write this I literally have a script ( https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite ) running deleting all posts and comments I made so I can delete my accounts and leave them with nothing. The last couple of days they have been prompting people to provide identification documents to access their accounts. This is going to start becoming more prevalent on platforms. I always hated the site but that’s crossed the line for me. So purpose of this post is just to give people a heads up while they still have access if they want to remove their data and / or delete the piece of shit from their life once and for all.
I finally deleted my accounts and quit the site a while back when I got suspended for 3 days by their AI moderation system. I’m not dealing with that. I noticed recently, when I clicked on a link, it said that you have to sign in to use old reddit to “keep the site safe“, which is obviously a lie.
Deleting/editing your old comments isn’t gonna do much to Reddit itself because it’s already been fed to the beast (AI) and they keep edit history.
But doing so makes Reddit less and less usable as a source for help, so that’s cool.

no, I hadn’t noticed because I don’t use sites that I hate
same here, but i once did and now i’m wondering if it’s worth bothering to delete my old comments and posts.
