I swear by the Logitech lyft, I know it looks weird. But it just feels natural, give it a day or two and you’ll wonder why every mouse isn’t shaped like that. I know because thats what happened to me after I used my boss’s mouse and then my wife when she used mine.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are some good uses for smart phones?
5·6 months agoHighly recommend Jellyfin on your NAS. Sounds like that is what your looking for. Very straight forward and easy to implement compared to other self host options.
Essentially, vid files located on your nas, and then any device on your wifi can stream the vids.
If your looking for your own personal netflix, jellyfin is your answer.

Games@sh.itjust.works•Hideo Kojima explains why few Japanese actors appear in his games | VGCEnglish
1·6 months agoYou could make that argument, but I dont buy it.
I think the real official reason is because Kojima wanted an actor, not just a voice actor, for motion capture.
Also Kojima secretly just wants to be a movie director.

Games@sh.itjust.works•Hideo Kojima explains why few Japanese actors appear in his games | VGCEnglish
13·6 months agoHonestly, with how Kojima left Konami in the middle of the production of mgs5, pretty sure Kojima just wanted to make something other than a mgs game. With mgs5, he made one of the best stealth simulators hands down. But, it felt the least like a ‘mgs’ game, especially a ‘snake’ game. I could definitely feel death stranding vibes from it though.
That’s my guess why he ditched David in mgs5.
Pretty sure he was just sick of only making the same games over and over. Especially after he made 4 since it is obvious to me that he put everything he had into finishing the story of mgs.
He was itching to make death stranding for a long time imo.
To answer the title question, you work out your body. That specifics of that question highly depends on your current situation. Like age, current fitness level, what you are training for (strength, cardio, weight loss, etc), and what you have access to.
I assume it’s because it’s cheap infrastructure.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If someone where to use the term "Adult Playground", what would you think it describes?
21·7 months agoI would hope that it would just be a playground just for adults. Don’t know why people just lose their spark for playground shenanigans in age. I would love to climb and jump around again. But there isn’t any place for that for adults.
Of course not, can’t let the consumers keep an easy paper trail of their bills. That would mean we would be caught on mischarges!
Its actually ‘WTF Poob’ again, they changed it recently.

Comic Strips@lemmy.world•We need no external validation for our appearance (by Shen)
12·7 months agoWell, lets be honest.
Men in general do not put any (or at least as much) work in their appearance as women. When was the last time you or any man you know took over an hour to get ready because they were doing their skin routine?
There is definitely a significant cultural influence on this, obviously starting at a young age.
But as someone who did put an effort into their appearance during my college days, women did notice.

9·7 months agoI would still be using Windows 7 if it was safe to connect to the internet.
I can’t believe government systems are just open to cyber security like that.
Are there not cyber terrorists for some teenager that has tried to do anything with these unsecured systems?
I try to improve myself every day.
But I can never achieve this level of genius. The answer is so obvious now!

Uplifting News@lemmy.world•Maine Gov. Janet Mills told Trump she’d see him in court over school meals and trans rights. She did and she wonEnglish
44·8 months agoWhile it is true that courts don’t really stop him. This still shows that not everyone bends the knee to him. It shows that he doesn’t have complete total support. And, most importantly, there are some politicians that do have a spine. Even if their intentions are misplaced or malicious, I’ll take anything to stop Trump. Can’t comply in advance.
Thanks for providing this. It is obvious you put a lot of time into this. Truly appreciated. I will have to look into these.
How did you find these yourself?
Yeah definitely not our profit driven models.
AI can do it cheaper… so just have the AI do it. Its that simple, people really don’t like it when things are so simple but can’t do anything about it. So they just make shit up like this.
He still got a point, but premise is pretty ridiculous.
Ideally: Stand up and go for a walk or my stretching routine. Usually ends the tiredness.
Realistically: Balatro

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Anyone else notice a lack of Cinco de Mayo celebration this year?
6·8 months agoAlso California.
Yeah there wasn’t much. Only thing I heard about was a restaurant with marg deals and giving out small cute sombrero hats.

I am seriously judging you for thinking YouTube is for how-to’s and music videos. In fact, Youtbe is now infamously known for bad how-to videos with all the damn ads.
Like that is what Youtube was 15 years ago. That is a completely dishonest description of what it is now. Also vlogs are not that prevalent really.
You just don’t know what your talking about. Youtube is more than what it was 10 years ago. Worse… maybe, probably. But you have no idea what Youtube is apparently.
