I believe I can touch type properly on a QWERTY layout.
In Japanese, we have to convert kana into kanji as we type, so I sometimes make mistakes during the conversion stage.
I occasionally play a typing game called Sushi-Da for practice.

現在少しずつLemmyからPieFedに移行してきています。
PieFedの翻訳について気になるところがあったら言ってください、対応します!

There is a similar pose where people make a heart shape above their head. Japanese people like making heart shapes for pretty much everything.

I’m Japanese, and honestly, I don’t see any special meaning in this pose at all.
As far as I know, this image is just a scene from Space Brothers, where Namba Mutta is simply talking about the Sharon Telescope. There’s no symbolic or cultural meaning attached to the pose in Japan—it’s just a moment in the story.

Putting standards aside, I personally prefer aligning with Lemmy.
On my own server, I handle it in the following way, though I understand this is largely a matter of personal preference.

I picked up about 20 books — a mix of novels and manga.
I also bought a BenQ GP520 projector,
and a few Anker items: a Nano USB-C hub, a Charging Station, and a PowerLine III cable.

That’s wonderful!
I feel that PieFed surpasses Lemmy in almost every aspect.
If the federation issues with Mastodon are resolved, it will be perfect.

Is there any special configuration required to enable search on the instance itself?
Search has not been functioning on my own instance for quite some time.

It was my grandmother’s homemade plum wine.
She has passed away now, so it remains a very strong memory for me.

That’s great! I hope this will help even the completely empty Japanese communities become a bit more active.
This is one I remember seeing a while ago
Yes, you can definitely use PieFed as a blog — and honestly, there are many other creative ways to use it too.
I actually used Lemmy as a blog alternative in the past, and that hasn’t changed now that I’ve moved to PieFed .
Also, as mentioned, I’ve seen people build custom frontends for Lemmy to make it look more like a blog.

I recently had a house built, and most of the outlets do support grounding.
However, it’s not very common to actually use them — many appliances don’t have grounded plugs, or the shapes don’t match.
I’d say only things like washing machines, microwaves, and rice cookers tend to use them.

Here’s the global site, sorry I posted the Japanese one earlier
https://umamusume.com/
By the way, all of the characters in Umamusume are anthropomorphized versions of real racehorses.
I’ve been playing for about 3.5 years.

Just to add a small note—“勉強” is written as “べん きょう”(ben kyou) in hiragana.
I basically never open my windows. This winter, I don’t think I opened them at all except maybe during a big cleaning day.
In Japan, ventilation is required by law, and most modern houses are equipped with a 24-hour ventilation system. Because of that, we don’t really need to open the windows to get fresh air — the system continuously circulates air for us.
At the same time, it doesn’t make the house noticeably colder in winter or hotter in summer. The air also goes through filters, which is especially nice during pollen season.
So I don’t really feel suffocated even with the windows closed, since the air is still being exchanged constantly.
