What an incredible find! It’s like pixel art way before pixels were a thing. The amount of information is overwhelming, so maybe it would help to see a few examples from the database. Here’s a few interesting ones I picked out.

American cities should have looked like this 20+ years ago.

More like “one nation under gold”.

As usual the blue jays had made a mess at the bird feeder, which a couple of pigeons were now lazily picking out of the grass.

I hope everyone remembered to wear sunscreen!

DNA and iris data? Are you kidding me? Nobody gets those biometrics.

I have never found an in-ear style design that both fits and is comfortable. I have, however, found what works perfectly for me. It stays outside the canal, but remains in the ear because of a slight pressure caused by the silicone wing tips. The brand I buy is “Bose Soundsport Wired”. Cheap, sound fine, never fall out.

A v-shaped channel might work if the angle is at least 30 degrees off of horizontal. 45 will work for sure. Something like this.
I used this site extensively for researching computer parts while I lived in Japan. Nice to see it still around.

Pretty obscure, but a 1994 PC game based on the Lawnmower Man movie called Cyberwar. Came with the OST on CDROM. It was my jam in middle school.

A long time ago I wrote a little web app that takes a search string and finds all the words in the dictionary that have overlap with its spelling. Sort of a portmanteau generator. It was just a fun project at the time, but I have used it on countless occasions to brainstorm unique names for projects, websites, etc.
You can try it from the link below. Just type any word or name and it will populate the results.
Are those flying squirrels at the top of the first image?
Euler’s Disc, along with the most solid glass mirror you can find.

I hope that Gremlins 3 is to Gremlins 2 what Gremlins 2 was to Gremlins 1.
Maybe it seems a bit mundane, but I was moved to tears watching the live footage of the Artemis reentry shot out of the window. It’s an unedited 25 minutes of visuals and sounds that the astronauts saw and heard as they returned to Earth, and it has some of the most beautiful “real” things recorded for all to see.
Between the gorgeous blue planet and blackness of space you see the fiery reentry and flakes of spacecraft burning off into the distance as the capsule makes a mind-bending descent into the atmosphere. The video includes live telemetry about speed and G forces, as well as all the sounds of the maneuvering thrusters doing an algorithmic dance to keep the angles exactly as they need to be
It’s one of the most wonderful things I’ve ever seen, and makes me proud of all humanity has achieved.
Worth a watch!
