A single dose of LSD eased anxiety symptoms for many folks and the benefits lasted up to three months, a new study reports.

By 12 weeks, the effects were still strong: 65% of patients taking the most effective dose (100 milligrams) continued to see improvements, and nearly half were considered to be in remission, according to the study.

Do not under any circumstances take 100 mg of LSD. This is an error and the source study says 100 micrograms, not milligrams. Linked article is sloppy and incorrect.

On 100mg, nothing will be said anymore. You’d typically loose consciousness, vomit a lot, maybe slip into a coma.

Most people that accidentally took such a large overdose do regain consciousness (sometimes months later, if in a coma) and are more or less fine though - if they get medical attention fast enough, you know, for the coma and all.

This is probably one of the most unpleasant experiences I could think of in relation to psychedelics.

That’s crazy. Thanks, i would never have actually looked that up.

Isn’t that also almost exactly what happens to Pual in the books? He falls into a coma. They think he’s dead and try and bury him but Chani stops them. For months.

I was making a silly joke but I wonder if it’s an actual reference by Frank? Was spice just an analogy of acid?

1000 microgram is 1 milligram so 100 milligram would be 1000 doses of 100 micrograms.

The average dose of an LSD tab is around 170 microgram and microdosing is mostly around 50-75 microgram iirc.

My apologies for posting an article containing a misprint, the article in question was lifted from a web scraping news aggregator site.

Unfortunately the actual source paper is paywalled.

But then again, would anybody believe that a sheet of micro dots could absorb between 100 and 200 millilitres of the drug?

The only reason the article was posted is due to the fact that one of the seriously ill guys in our group participated in such a trial and found another psychedelic substance to be beneficial.

Once again my, apologies for such a trivial misdemeanor. I honestly hope that none of you healthy web police require a dosage of between one and two hundred milligrams of LSD at some future date.

In my case it elevated the symptoms. Maybe because I was caught by police, searched and threatened, idk.

I figured this out in my teens. LSD or mushrooms especially would give me a good reboot for 6-12 months

This was my experience with every psychedelic I tried in undergrad. Trip for a few hours, probably gain some mathematical insight from it, depression gone for 3 months.

Same here. I went to a different plane of existence on LSD and I still feel a bit connected to it years after. I also had a roommate that microdosed shrooms for migraines and I’ve heard microdosing other psychedelics can alleviate depression.
