If you have friends in the business they’ll just keep putting you into shows. Rogan reinvented himself half a dozen times, taking whatever work he could get just to stay on TV.
Same story with Howie Mandel and Drew Carey. Producers look for a name/face people recognize and these dinosaurs keep getting more work.

I did watch it occasionally back in the day when I had cable, but don’t recall him being on it. I do remember being baffled that Kimmel got a late night TV show gig after doing that show though.
