it was this “common excuses to avoid transitioning” video and the other videos in that channel that cracked my egg.
What I really didn’t understand is that sincerely and seriously wanting to be the other gender is not typical for cis people to experience and is typical for trans people to experience.
I was under the mistaken impression that trans people had to “know” with certainty their gender identity from a young age, what I didn’t understand is that deeply wanting to be the opposite gender is an authentic trans experience.

There’s a simple question you can ask yourself if you feel like you might be an egg. “Why wouldn’t I transition?” A cis guy is likely to answer “because I don’t want to be a woman” or words to that effect. If your answer has to do with your ability to pass or the effect it would have on your life, you might want to do some soul searching.

It’s so much nicer these days. In the 90s and early 2000s when I would wear a skirt, people gave me weird looks and derisive comments. Now people don’t care as much anymore. It’s much more likely I will get compliments which is nice.
