Wow, the British do really love their peas! Paella has no peas, but even if you wanted to add some, that is an insane amount.
But hey, all dishes get adapted to the target culture, and if that’s how they want to enjoy paella, more power to them. Let them have nice things.
I like my paella without everyone’s hair in it.
Tbh, virtually imposible to distinguish from shrimp hair
Oh, this at least gives some perspective into the dislike for gingers.
Prawns
but that’s the best part
Not a paella, but it does look good.
Arròs amb coses.

Looks delicious, but there’s no way I’d order from them. So I get my food, and then get to prepare it while it’s too hot to touch? So I need to wait for it to cool down to extract the mussel, and shell the shrimp. And then I get to eat lukewarm paella. It bothers me to have to shell food that’s been cooked, but know not everyone is neurotic as me.
“Extract the mussel” you mean use a fork to pick the tender meat out of an open shell? I don’t know how you will manage.
The shrimp, I can definitely see your point. I don’t want to get my hands dirty.
Have you had a mussel that the separated from the shell just by stabbing it and then picking it up? I’ve always had to hold the shell in place while doing so. Which gets the sauce on my hands, which is functionally not that different than peeling the shrimp that will “get my hands dirty”, at least in my mind. And I could manage it all just fine, if I wanted to, but clearly do not.
Borough Market, right? Great spot.
A bit overrun.
Ya it’s way too busy, you can barely walk through the busy sections
Well, that looks amazing.
Also, as a Fawlty Towers fan, I’m just grateful there’s not a huge fight going on upon the making of such. XD
You mean “WARTY TOWELS”?
“FLOWERY TWATS”
Staple grain + A lot of things mixed together is my favorite food gender.
I’m getting in line!
I had paella on the south coast of Spain. It was… Food. It was aight. I can make better food myself. And I’m not exactly a good chef.
Wait, are those shrimp really that huge?
I think those are prawn, which are like shrimp but big
The people were a bit smaller than usual and I used a wide angle lens.
Can you put it in a burrito?
There’s no law against it, but the starch ratio might be off
